WebIt will be awesome if there is the possibility to add link support between file. In a README.md file, you are unable to link another document in the repository (i.e. /doc/file2.md). I've tried with a link such as [1]:doc/file2.md but it doesn't work ` tag in the header file did not work in my case (Feb. 2024). What I did let the README.md file rendered as-is and then right-click the corresponding header I wanted to link to, choose inspect from the context menu (I use chrome, choose the similar option in your browser).. You will see generated html similar to the following:
