The cipher starts each combat with some base focus, so that you can do a single mid level spell or a few low level ones, but then you have to deal damage to get new focus. Every attack you get a small amount of base focus plus focus depending on how much damage you do. WebThe most difficult decision I had to make during character creation was to remain a pure Cipher for Reaping Knives and time Parasite or go multi-class. I ended up multiclassing an ascendant cipher with an assassin because I like bursting things down with ridiculous amounts of damage.
